My purpose is not to criticize any religion. I support freedom of religion. But I often get confused about how members of a certain religion vote in large numbers for people or issues that seem contrary to that religion’s stated beliefs. Such is the case for Catholics.

In my state the majority of Catholics vote Democrat. Now these ant-abortion and Pro-Life members of the Catholic Church are voting for people of the Democrat Party – the Democrat Party that not only supports abortion but even late-term abortion when the fetus or baby is viable. And the Democrat Party that supports federal funding of abortion. Free abortions!

These Catholics in my state are also pro-Black Lives Matter. In a recent Catholic newsletter the editor of that newsletter called anyone saying All Lives Matter anti-anti-racist. You know, the same BLM organization whose leadership proudly professes to be Marxist trained, who is anti-nuclear family, and who is anti-religion!

Thank God that people here can vote as they wish. Thank God people here can worship as they wish. Catholics are free to vote as they wish. But they sure confuse me.

Isn’t it important to seperate ‘church and state’?? Will God spite me and send me to hell if I am pro-choice or pro-gay rights?? Is it truly a “sin” when all I’m doing is providing the choice for someone else?? Shouldn’t we, as Americans, be asking for more freedoms and more rights.. not less??
