DOGE

Wow. What a shakeup! Finally we are getting a look into where OUR money is going and what we are paying for – and it ain’t pretty. And all those Democrats like Strickland or Cantwell or Murray, are scurrying. Talk about a lack of common sense….

Let’s set the table straight – DOGE is an analytical, advisory body. They don’t fire anyone. They look, analyze, and recommend. Actual Senate confirmed secretaries make the decisions. Take for example USAID. DOGE found almost 300 sycophants in USAID but it was Secretary Rubio that shut down those government positions eliminating federal jobs. He laid off those people. He was confirmed by the Senate. And don’t feel sorry for them. They are taken care of in the Civil Servant System. Unlike us poor private sector workers who get a two week notice and a final check as we walk out the door. Don’t believe me – check it out. It takes an act of God to actually fire one of our vaunted Civil Servants.

Finally someone is telling me where my federal tax dollars are going. And what do I find? I am paying for homosexual comic books in a foreign country. I am paying for transgender operations in a foreign country. I am paying to put up illegal aliens in swanky hotels – out of FEMA funds – while Americans suffer in North Carolina. I am a producer for a DEI play in a foreign country. Really? Strickland is proud. All the Democrats own this. Wasn’t it Obama who pledged to clean this up?

So what is the problem? We are finding issues and problems? We are finally uncovering wasteful spending. Why are Democrats and Strickland against that? How about let’s pay for what is needed and do it smartly? Why all these court cases? No one is doing anything wrong – or is reducing government expenditures wrong? Federal budget expenditures went up 40% over the last six years. Anyone getting more?

This Senator Sanders makes what I consider a dumb statement. He claims that DOGE is giving us a government of the billionaires, by the billionaires, for the billionaires. Well he is wrong. We have a government of Civil Servants that have created a government of the bureaucrat, by the bureaucrat, for the bureaucrat. The swanky hotels for illegals was a bureaucrat’s decision, not an elected or Senate confirmed person. We need a DOGE to shed light on what we are buying. And not more court cases.

But then I’m an old guy and I don’t get it……
