ICE Nonsense
My mom, may she rest in peace, used to say, “It’s OK to disagree with someone. It is never OK to be impolite.” I have tried hard to follow her advice but wow, I am witnessing what I can only call nonsensical, stupid behavior towards our immigration enforcers in states like New York, Minnesota, and California. Such ignorance needs some words. Sorry Mom…
We live in a Republic where we elect legislators to pass laws, courts to interpret laws and try transgressors, and elect executives to enforce passed laws. Cops are the the folks that do the arresting. When executives like governors and district attorneys choose to ignore federal or local laws or impede enforcement they are dictators. When protestors impede cops they are criminals. It is a great system. Don’t like the law – have your elected representative change the law. Then the courts change and cops change.
Sanctuary cities and states are dictatorships. Governors and mayors are choosing to ignore passed laws. They actively support the impeding of law enforcement officers. They support violence against government personnel and property. They choose which laws are obeyed and which laws can be broken. These “officials” act like they and their “citizens” are above the law. The local cops are prevented from doing their duty. In ignoring Federal Law they act like they want to secede from the Union. But they want Federal dollars don’t they? And why is it most of these places are run by Democrats? What kind of country would we have if suddenly mayors decided that bank robbing, rape, domestic violence, and child molestation crimes would not be enforced?
Anti-ICE protesters are the most stupid people I have seen. Their violence, their road blocks, their attacks on ICE agents all show their anti-americanism. They are displaying the attitude of being above the law. Their actions show support for rapists, child molesters, human trafficking, murderers, and thieves. In their sanctuary cities and states they are harboring and supporting these rapists, murderers, thieves, drug and human traffickers. They care not for US citizens. And a bunch of them are paid to do this. They should follow my Mom’s advice.
If you are here illegally you are not my neighbor. If you are accused of rape, murder, stealing, child abuse, drug trafficking you are not my neighbor. I want you gone. I want my streets safe. I want all cops to do their jobs. I want my District Attorney to prosecute.
And one last thing. I am tired of hearing about Americans being wrongly deported. The last person that uttered this lie to me couldn’t name ten people wrongly deported. Yes, mistakes have been made but ICE and the courts rightly fixed these issues. And the little 5-year old ICE detained boy? Well his daddy ran away and his family wouldn’t take him in. Whose fault is it? Americans are not being rounded up. This is a lie. Again these protesters are acting stupid.
I think immigrants should come here legally. If you are accused of a heinous crime you should not be allowed in. And if you illegally come in you should be deported in accordance with law.
But then again, I’m an old guy and I don’t get it…
