Iran War

Recently I had a conversation with a former US State Department Diplomat, Harvard educated, who was extremely upset about our war with Iran. He was totally against it and believed diplomacy was the way to solving the problems. And he hates Trump.

I attempted to explain why war was necessary:

Iran seized our embassy is Tehran in 1979 and held over 60 US citizens and embassy employees hostage for over 440 days.

Iran sponsored the bombing of the US Marine Corps barracks killing over 200 Marines in 1983.

Iran kidnapped and butchered two US officials (a CIA Station Chief and US Army officer) in 1984/85.

Iran’s proxies fired countless missiles at US Military installations resulting in 700 US deaths in the Middle East.

The official policy of Iran has been and currently is “death to the US” and “death to Israel.”

Iran continues to choke the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran continues to develop and enrich nuclear missiles that will reach the US and Israel – and their official policy is they will use them.

Now my friend and former diplomat laments that numerous State Dept. diplomats experienced with Iran were fired. So what? We have been doing nothing for 47 years except talking and diplomating (using diplomacy). Hell (sorry, Hades) Obama and Kerry even sent plane loads of cash to Iran. In the private sector you fail and you get fired. Obviously these diplomats failed so fire them! Their attempted bribes even failed. Let’s be honest – Iran lies and cannot be trusted. They listen, agree, and then go back preparing to attack us.

I don’t know about you but I am tired of the bully. I believe they want to attack us as they continue to say. I believe they want to wipe Israel off the map. I believe they want to control the Middle East and the world’s supply of oil. And I know you can’t trust Iran because they lie. Time to cut the bully down. Time to end their crap. Time to end the threat.

But I’m an old guy and I don’t get it…………..
